The unique collaboration between Southern Light Events and Soundy means that from mid 2017 individuals, companies and event planners as well as aspiring and established musicians will be able to access SOUNDY’S newly built Music Recording and Sound Production Studio right here in the South West! Our studio will be built to have a high tech showroom filled with quality new and pre-loved sound systems and event production gear, many brands that we use ourselves to support live music performances, corporate AV requirements, and event and wedding music. PLUS we’ll have the coolest band rehearsal area, and opportunities for music and singing lessons, workshops and more.
We’ve got a MASSIVE range of Audio and Visual Event Gear for HIRE and SALE and if we don’t have what you need we’ll find it (or build it!), be it 200m of curtaining, a 60 channel or more sound system, a custom built staging (over 60 stage pieces in stock, at any height you need) or state of the art lighting, we’ll help you put on an awesome show. We really do have it all – AV, Custom Projections / Gobos, Special Effects Lighting, Fairy Light Curtains / Nets & Digital Waterfall Effects, Sound Systems, Event Structures and Stages (plus we can custom build rigs!), Scaffolding and Rigging, Art Panel Displays, super huge DMX Hazer Smoke Machines, Light Shows, Moving Lights, Disco Effects, Lanterns, Ambient ‘Mood Lighting’ and more.
Our vast range of ready-made Curtains and Drapes can be used to completely cover walls and create spectacular new spaces. We also CUSTOM-MAKE amazing Event and Theatre Curtains for shipping throughout Australia and overseas. All of our drapes meet Australian Safety Standards and come with Fire Retardation Certificates PLUS we can tailor make tags to be sewn on with logos for ID and fire retardation certification codes. If you source your curtains elsewhere (but really why would you!) be sure to check for fire retardation certification – it will keep you SAFE and Insured.
Event Production is what we do best; from designing, planning, setting up and styling to managing AV operations on the day, we can organise all your event logistics PLUS capture the magic on film ~ yep, our event photographer sure knows how to work that camera! Our giant Event Showroom and Sound Production Studio being constructed in the Margaret River Wine region, means we have great relationships with all the best local event suppliers. We INSTALL, SERVICE & MAINTAIN and REPAIR lighting and sound systems for Pubs, Hotels, Function Centres, Wineries, Churches, Schools, Theatres, Art Galleries and more. Better still, we’re a Certified BUILDING MANAGEMENT & WORKS (BMW) CONTRACTOR, meaning we’re authorised by the Government’s Department of Finance to conduct repairs and maintenance services in the South West. So if you’re a Public School, Police Station or other Government Building in need of repairs or maintenance, lodge a BMW work order and request Southern Light Events for attendance – if it’s urgent we’ll have a team member on site within hours and better yet, you don’t pay for it, the Government does! We’re ON CALL 24/7 for emergency repairs, fully licensed and experienced in all aspects of lighting, sound and stage, and including not just electrical, but also bringing up theatre lighting to safety compliance levels.
